Yes — trout is a safe and recommended oily fish.
What the evidence says
Trout is safe to eat throughout pregnancy and counts toward the recommended 1–2 portions of oily fish per week. Both rainbow trout and sea trout are fine when cooked thoroughly.
Why this matters
Trout provides omega-3 fatty acids without the mercury concerns of larger predatory fish.
