Is Decaffeinated coffee safe in pregnancy?
Generally safe
Yes — decaf is safe throughout pregnancy.
What the evidence says
Decaffeinated coffee is safe during pregnancy. A cup typically contains 2–5 mg of caffeine, which is negligible. Same applies to decaf tea.
Why this matters
The caffeine content is low enough to not be a concern. The decaffeination process itself uses solvents that are within food safety limits.
